Drill Team - NEW MINISTRY THIS YEAR!

This is a new ministry/files/SWAT/Drill Team logo.jpg focused on connecting young people who are eager to serve and put their faith into action with families who are in need of help with their housing issues.  Drill Team has two unique and complimentary components:

Local Days of Service

Single-day home improvement projeects offered 3 or 4 times throughout the year to perform service within the local and surrounding communities.  Volunteers needed include craftsmen, families, and teens.

A.S.P. (Appalachia Service Project)

A combined home repair and /files/SWAT/ASP.gifrelationship ministry at St. Joe's that partners with the Appalachia Service Project organization to provide teens and adults from St. Joseph an opportunity to make homes warmer, safer, and drier during a week-long summer trip to serve families of need in Central Appalachia.  Commitment is made in the fall to 10 months of preparation learning about systemic poverty, Appalachian culture, construction techniques, and each other as disciples of Christ.

Compass - NEW MINISTRY COMING NEXT YEAR!/files/SWAT/JPEG Compass logo.jpg

Compass is the beginning of a St. Joseph peer-led retreat experience that will be offered to all high school students, freshmen through seniors, starting next year.  More details to come!
